Peanut Report

We go to the doctor every week, I just didn't want to bore you with the details every time. But I figured that it's about time for a report on how Peanut is doing. . .
She weighs about 8.9 kg which converts to about 19.5 lbs and is almost 27 in tall -that's 2+ whole inches since transplant! Yea! Keep growing Peanut!

Everything checks out okay. Her liver's doing great. Some of her other "numbers" are back to normal and some others are progressing in that direction. She'll probably get her PICC line out next Monday which is happy and sad. . . Happy because it's one less tube, one less risk of infection, AND Peanut will be able to play freely in the bathtub! Sad because then we'll have to go to the hospital super early in the morning every other week for Peanut to get poked! Poor thing!

She seems to be doing a tiny bit better with eating. She had diced pears last night and LOVED them. Tried them again today and she wanted nothing to do with them! She LOVES Townhouse crackers and Twizzlers but HATES pureed baby food. She'll take about one drink out of a non-spill-proof sippy cup and then pour the rest on the floor. Every feeding session ends in one big cleaning session! But hey! Whatever gets her to eat! There has been many discussions about getting a g-tube (a feeding tube that goes straight to your stomach) but the doctor doesn't think that's the right thing for her right now. We'll re-evaluate in a month or so and if Peanut hasn't progressed enough then we'll probably discuss it with the surgeon.

She'll stand on her feet more and can cruse all over in her walker (she mostly goes backwards but at least she's moving!) She'll roll over in about 0.2 seconds if you ever put her on her belly and is getting really good at sitting and reaching for faraway toys.

All-in-all, she's making progress and is just as cute as ever! I love my little peanut!
She also loves to play Nintendo. (Above picture was taken at Luke's work a week or so ago. Luke watched her while I went to dinner with my family for my sister's graduation and this is what I came back to. Haha! Like father, like daughter!)

It's amazing how much fun a box can be! I love the picts and the update. You have probably tried everything, but here are some foods my little ones have loved in the past: they all seemed to hate baby food around 11 months, but liked (all cut up); vienna sausages, cooked carrots, canned green beans, grapes, yogurt and applesauce. Keep on eating Peanut, and growing! We love you!
