Up and Down

This was the new game that Auntie Krystal invented. She'd say up and they'd climb up. She'd say down and they'd climb down. And then of course they had to clap for doing such a good job!
They weren't too good at doing it simultaneously. But sure enjoyed themselves!
It was too cute!
Blogger's being dumb about letting me upload videos but I'll keep trying so that you can see all this in action.
We love going home so that Peanut has someone to play with! So fun!

Cousin Spike's Birthday

Peanut's cousin turned one! And we were able to be there to enjoy the celebration!
Peanut really enjoyed helping him open his presents! And wanted to take everything home for herself!
She especially loved the Sesame Street wrapping paper and had to point out all her favorite friends!
It was a lot of fun! And Mason is just the cutest little guy ever!

It's Great to be Eight!

My awesome nephew was baptized yesterday! I am so proud of him and this decision he made! He is such a great young man and I am so glad I can claim him as my nephew!
Peanut had a lot of fun playing with all the cousins and running everywhere. Poor thing doesn't get out enough! We went to our ward's ice cream social on Friday night (first time Peanut's been to a big function in quite some time!) and at first Peanut didn't even want to go through the doors! She was a little weary of all the people but don't worry she was running around like a crazy person soon enough!

Peanut Tennis

While the boys were here a few weeks ago they got out the old bad-mitten set they always play with when they come to our house. Well, Peanut decided she wanted in on the fun. Only she doesn't hit just the birdies, she hits everything! Especially bouncy balls. We've decided to call the game "Peanut Tennis."
This video isn't the best representation of the game (or quality) but it'll have to do.

FYI

Due to the many requests I have received in the last few months, I have put the links to other blogs back up on my sidebar. I'm not sure if I got everyone that was there or I might have added someone that doesn't want to be there. Either way, let me know. Also, the private blog list is for my benefit because, since those blogs don't show up on my blog reader, I always forget to check them. So maybe this will help me remember to check them more often.

New Shoes

Peanut decided that she was tired of her shoes and decided to try on mommy's sneakers, then daddy's tennis shoes, and then dad helped her into mommy's boots. . .
It was quite entertaining!

Bath Time Fun

This is the video I talked about in the Christmas post but just barely got it to upload (after about 10 failed atempts!) You have to watch it to the end to hear her laugh which, before the camera came out, she was doing constantly.

She has now found a new love with this toy. . .rolling her bouncy balls down it. It's pretty much the only thing she plays with in the bath tub now.

This Little Piggy

I've been trying new hair do's on Peanut since her hair is actually growing now. I hate to do pony tails because her hair is so fragile due to one of the medications she's on, but she's just too cute with them! I really didn't think her hair was long enough for full piggy tails but I decided to try it anyways and alas it is! She really isn't a good model for pictures anymore because she'd much rather take the picture herself, so this is the best I got. . .
And no, she doesn't have a feeding tube in, and no, we didn't have to put it back in later that night! That's right! The feeding tube is gone! She'd been drinking quite a bit and doing so well that when we were at the doctor's on Monday she said we could take it out! Yippee! I was a little hesitant at first because I really hate sticking it back in and I really didn't think Peanut would keep it up. But she has! We've had it out all week and last night she drank MORE than she needed to!

Since it's been awhile since I've posted anything I guess I'll update you all on what's been happening at our house. . .

The Monday after we got home from our wonderful Christmas vacation, I got a call from Peanut's doctor's office saying that her liver numbers were elevated which resulted in a liver biopsy the next morning. We spent that night in the hospital where Peanut wasn't allowed to leave her room because of her recent history of adenovirus. :( She did rather well though.

The results from the biopsy showed some minor liver rejection. The doctor thinks that the adenovirus activated her immune system which resulted in it starting to fight her liver. So they shot her full of steroids, bumped up her anti-rejection med and sent us home.

She's been doing just fine with everything and her liver numbers have come back down but they're still keeping her more immunosuppressed for the time being. So, we're back to weekly labs and keeping Peanut locked up and away from everyone. Other than that every thing's back to as normal as it can be around here.

I got to spend a weekend away where I was able to see some old friends, spend some time with my family, and attend the beautiful blessing of my beautiful new niece. It was a good break for me, and Luke did a really good job of being a full-time Daddy.

Luke has decided to run the Ogden marathon in May and started his training the first week of January. He's really enjoying it so far and he hasn't complained too much about body aches so it sounds like he's handling it pretty well.

I tried my first graveyard shift in over three years the other night and it actually wasn't that bad. I was really tired the next day and Peanut's 2 hour nap defiantly wasn't long enough for me but it's something I think I could handle once or twice a month so we're looking into a new work schedule for me.

Peanut is growing and changing like crazy! She's starting the terrible two's a little early but she's the biggest clown too, so I guess it evens out. She's decided that she's a big girl and likes to eat at the table like one. It's the cutest thing ever! She's starting to try and say new words but still mostly just jabbers. Her latest obsessions are bouncy balls, Elmo videos (and eating downstairs while watching one), coloring with markers, chocolate pudding, and buh buh (bubbles).

Restaurant.com

I don't know how many of you use restaurant.com but if you haven't tried it yet you should. I remember hearing about it a long time ago and checked it out but didn't see any restaurants that I was interested in. It wasn't until we got a gift certificate, for my new favorite restaurant from Luke's sister and brother-in-law for Christmas, did I realized how valuable it is! Anyways...whether you want to try it for the first time or love the site already you can get 60% off your order with the coupon/promotion code: EXCLUSIVE
